Sporting Facility Study

The Northern Tasmania Development Corporation (NTDC) in conjunction with ROSS Planning have developed the Northern Tasmania Sports Facility Plan in conjunction with George Town, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands, West Tamar and City of Launceston Council’s.

The Plan focuses on sport and active recreation facilities to ensure that the long-term needs of the community are adequately catered for. The Plan is intended to compliment national, state and regional plans and strategies, and will feed into local planning processes.

As Dorset Council recently joined the NTDC we are being included in this Plan in order to ensure that the sporting needs of the community are being met now and into the future.

As part of the process ROSS Planning will be interviewing with key stakeholders and undertaking site visits to ascertain specific issues and opportunities in relation to Council facilities.

The draft Sports Facility Plan is anticipated to be available for community comment by April 2024
